HabitFlo ("we", "our", or "the app") is built with privacy as a core principle. All of your habit data — habits, completions, streaks, categories, reminders, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate a backend and we never receive your habit data. The only information that leaves your device is limited, anonymous analytics and (if you subscribe) the data required to process your subscription, both described below.
Your habits, completions, streaks, categories, reminders, widget configuration, and app preferences are stored locally using the platform's built-in storage (UserDefaults / App Group container on iOS; Room database and DataStore on Android). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature, in which case you control where the exported file is saved or shared.
No account or registration is required. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, files, or any advertising identifier.
HabitFlo uses PostHog to understand how the paywall is used so we can improve the app. The events we send are limited to: paywall shown, paywall dismissed, paywall purchased, and paywall restored, along with the screen the paywall was opened from. Each event is tagged with an anonymous device identifier generated by PostHog. We do not send your habits, completions, name, email, or any other personal information. PostHog data is hosted in the United States.
If you purchase HabitFlo Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Billing) and our subscription state is managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated on your device, the purchase token from the store, and your entitlement status (whether Pro is active). It does not receive any of your habit data.
HabitFlo may request the following device permissions:
All permissions are optional. The app functions without them.
HabitFlo is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only data sent off-device is anonymous analytics about paywall interactions and, if applicable, subscription status — neither of which identifies a child.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Questions about this policy, or requests to delete your data, can be sent to cortexlumora@gmail.com.
